How to export a CSV file from American Express

American Express to CSV export

1. Log in to your American Express account

Go to the official American Express login page and sign in using your username and password.

2. Select your card account

Choose the credit card account you want to export transactions from.

3. Go to “Download Transactions”

Look for the option labeled “Download Transactions” or a similar term, depending on your language settings.

4. Choose file format and date range

Select CSV as the export format.
American Express does not provide MT940 exports.
Pick the date range for the transactions you want to include.

5. Download the CSV file

Click “Download” to save the file to your computer.
You can then open it in Excel, Google Sheets, or import it into your accounting software.
