How to export a MT940 file from Rabobank

Rabobank Transactions as an MT940 File

1. Log in to your Rabobank account

Go to the Rabobank login page and sign in with your business login credentials.

2. Navigate to “Download Transactions”

In the main menu, click “Pay and receive.”
Then select “Download Transactions.”

3. Select the desired account and period

Choose the account from which you want to export transactions.
Set the period — either a specific month or a custom date range.

4. Choose the file format

Select “MT940 Structured (.swi)” as the export format.
This format is compatible with most accounting systems.

5. Download the file

Click “Download” to save the MT940 file to your computer.
The file can then be imported into your accounting software for reconciliation and financial reporting.
